The War Rages On
A darkened day,
A bloodied sword.
A forest fogged,
A demon wounded.
My sword I wield,
It’s blood I draw.
A killing blow,
Through the head.
One less heartless demon,
To hurt me once again.
Out of breath,
Out of might.
Out of the shadows,
Comes another demon.
My sword I wield,
Ready for war.
This demon,
Unlike the rest.
It’s skin, silver,
It’s eyes, blue.
This demon to help,
To heal my wounds.
To let me fight my battles,
Strong and swift.
My pain is gone,
My help leaves,
To heal me again,
A day in the future.
My life will return,
I pray for it.
A battle comes on,
My healer is gone.
This battle is mine,
And mine alone.
My sword I draw,
Sharp and clean.
This war I fight,
Just like the first.
My mind is clear,
My muscles are strong.
This war I shall win,
Even if it kills me.
