Bliss

Come with me, and we will play,
In the sun, or in the dark and we will lay.
No art or jewel or golden chain,
Can equal the joy of a roll in the hay.

I could buy you a star,
To be seen from near and far.
All we need for a night of fun,
Is grass, a blanket and no sun.

For all the years still to come,
Heart nor body shall go numb.
No neighbors near to hear you sigh,
Never a day I’ll make you cry.

The pleasures of body cannot be bought,
And the pleasures of mind will be in thought.
I can give you all you need,
Mind and body I shall feed.
